Features / JETDIELINE

Use your printer's dieline as the basis

Printers often supply their own dieline. JetDieline imports that reference, recognizes the line types and places your artwork precisely on it.

Import existing dielines

You import the reference dieline as a PDF, SVG or DXF. The app imports the geometry at its original size. Dimensions and position are preserved.

Recognize line types automatically

The app recognizes cut, crease and perforation lines by colour, line style and layer names. You check the assignment and correct it by hand where needed.

Design and check as you would with a template

After importing, you work with the reference just as you would with a template from the catalog. Designer, checks, 3D view and export are available, as far as the imported geometry allows.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change the dimensions of the imported dieline?

An imported reference is fixed geometry and not parametric. For other dimensions, ask your printer for a new dieline or use a template from the catalog.

What happens if the line types are not recognized?

Then you assign the lines yourself. The app shows every unassigned line so that nothing is overlooked.

What you should know

JetDieline supports you with construction, design and checks. It does not replace approval by your printer or a built sample. On-screen and 3D displays are not colour-accurate.
