How the shape is constructed

The header card has two equally high layers connected by a horizontal centre crease. The hanging hole is mirrored across the crease and aligns through both layers after folding over. The free bottom corners can be rounded.

How it is assembled

Fold at the crease, place over the bag edge and staple or glue. The two holes align exactly.

What to consider for this construction

Hanging hole

Hole for hanging on a retail shelf: Euro hole (elongated hole with a round hole above), round hole or slot. On cartons and the gift card holder, it is centred in a header above the top edge.

Hole width

Width of the elongated hole for the Euro hole and slot.

Slot height

Height of the elongated hole for the Euro hole and slot; the ends are semicircular.

Hole diameter

Diameter of the round hole or the circle above the elongated hole for the Euro hole; larger than the slot height for the Euro hole.

Hole distance

Distance from the hole centre to the fold; at least 3 mm of bridge remains to the fold and bottom edge.

Frequently asked questions

How large is the card before folding over?

The input describes the folded finished format. In the starting example, this is 100 × 40 mm; the open blank is 100 × 80 mm. The centre crease connects the two layers. Place front and back content according to these panels so that text has the correct reading direction after folding.

Which hole shapes can I set?

hangHole offers Euro hole, round hole and slot. Hole width and slot height apply to elongated hole shapes; diameter applies to the round hole and the circular part of the Euro hole. Check the relevant parameters and resulting bridge when changing shape. The starting example uses the Euro hole.

What does the 12 mm hole distance mean?

headerHoleDistance is the distance from the hole centre to the centre crease. The free material bridge also depends on the entire hole shape. The layout requires clearance from the crease and bottom edge. An unchanged centre point can therefore leave insufficient bridge with a larger hole.
