Features / JETDIELINE

Create QR codes and GS1 barcodes directly on the pack

Barcodes must be readable and sit in the right place. JetDieline generates the codes as vector graphics and checks size and quiet zone.

The common retail codes

The app generates EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, GS1-128, GS1 DataMatrix and GS1 QR. The check digit is calculated. You enter the number your GS1 organisation has assigned to you.

QR codes for links and information

QR codes lead, for example, to a product page or instructions. You set the content and error correction level. The code is held as a vector and stays sharp at every size.

Keep size and quiet zone in view

The check warns if a code is too small, breaches the quiet zone or sits over a crease. That helps you avoid codes that cannot be read at the till.

Frequently asked questions

Does the app assign product numbers?

No. You obtain the numbers from your GS1 organisation. The app creates the code from them and calculates the check digit.

Is a generated code guaranteed to scan?

The app checks size and quiet zone. Print process, material and colour all affect readability, so test the code on the press proof with a scanner.

What you should know

JetDieline supports you with construction, design and checks. It does not replace approval by your printer or a built sample. On-screen and 3D displays are not colour-accurate.
