Corrugated shipping boxes / JETDIELINE

Regular slotted container

The regular slotted container combines four walls, a glue flap and four flaps each at the top and bottom. Its outer flaps meet in the centre; the reference is similar to FEFCO 0201.

How the shape is constructed

The glue flap closes the walls into a sleeve. For filling, the inner bottom flaps close first, followed by the outer ones. Tape holds the bottom and later the lid together.

How it is assembled

Glue or stitch the glue flap to the opposite wall and lay the box flat. Erect for filling, fold in the inner bottom flaps, close the outer flaps over them and seal with tape; do the same at the top.

These dimensions describe the preview, not a fixed packaging size. The app recalculates the dieline for your own dimensions.

What to consider for this construction

Glue flap

Width of the glue flap used to glue the blank into a tube. The material requires a minimum width.

Glue flap angle

Angle at the ends of the glue flap; makes folding and erection easier.

Flap gap

Gap between adjacent flaps or walls; at least about the material thickness.

Frequently asked questions

What does similar to FEFCO 0201 mean?

The reference classifies the structure for orientation. It neither reproduces a standard drawing nor demonstrates a confirmed classification. This page shows the original parametric structure. Before a definitive reference can be given, a specialist partner must confirm the relationship; the public wording therefore remains “similar to”.

Do the outer flaps meet in the centre?

Yes, this structure designs the outer flaps for a central closure. Other catalogue types address full or partial overlap separately. Material thickness and flap gap affect the result. Check the closed bottom and lid on a sample; the calculated blank alone does not confirm the tape's fit.

Which dimension reference do I use?

The catalogue example uses inside dimensions. They describe the intended space for the product and cushioning. Outside and crease-to-crease dimensions are also supported references. Record the selected reference when passing files on. If the flute changes, crease allowance and finished fit must be checked again.
