Glue flap
Width of the glue flap used to glue the blank into a tube. The material requires a minimum width.
Folding cartons / JETDIELINE
The blank, creases and flaps are calculated from inside dimensions. The outputs are an artwork PDF, production dieline and production sheet for the print shop.

carton.tuckend.straightFrom left to right: glue flap, left side, front, right side and back. Both tuck flaps are on the front. The dust flaps are on the sides.
Pre-break all creases in the blank. Glue the glue flap to the inside of the opposite wall and lay the box flat. Erect for filling, fold in the dust flaps and insert the tuck flaps.
Grain direction parallel to the height (check)
Test fit, folding and closure on a sample made from the intended material. Confirm material thickness, grain direction and production steps with your printer.
Inside dimension
These dimensions describe the preview, not a fixed packaging size. The app recalculates the dieline for your own dimensions.
Width of the glue flap used to glue the blank into a tube. The material requires a minimum width.
Angle at the ends of the glue flap; makes folding and erection easier.
How far the tuck flap reaches into the box; at most about half the width (the height for a mailer).
Corner radius of the tuck flap; limited by half the flap width or tuck depth.
Side inset of the tuck flap relative to the lid, allowing easy insertion.
On a straight tuck-end carton, both tuck flaps are on the front. On the reverse structure, the bottom flap is on the back. This changes the closure and the reading direction of individual panels. Check the artwork and filling workflow on the appropriate structure.
The fill volume does not determine the jar's outside dimensions. Measure the diameter and total height including the closure. The necessary clearance depends on insertion, material and any insert. Finished inside dimensions cannot be specified without this information; confirm them on a sample.
The parameter range and starting value are listed in the table. The minimum in the material profile is also decisive. Adhesive, production workflow and material may impose further requirements. MFG-001 flags a glue flap that is too narrow; confirm the final width with your print shop.
