Its width and shape are part of construction and must suit material and processing. A narrow flap can make manufacturing difficult. The glue area also needs suitable print artwork treatment for the bond to work. The material profile contains a minimum value that may be labelled as a starting value. Check this with your printer and the adhesive used before approving a print run.
