Glossary / JETDIELINE
An up is a single placement of a blank on a production sheet.
Multiple ups distribute identical or different blanks across the available area. Margins, spacing, grain direction and machine requirements limit the layout. Bounding rectangle calculation differs from nesting actual contours. A metric must identify the method used. Use utilisation as a basis for coordination; without further production data, it is not yet binding costing from your printer.
