The outside dimension describes the external size of the assembled packaging.

It matters when the box must fit into a shipping container, shelf or other packaging. Usable interior space is smaller due to material thickness and cannot simply be equated. Overlapping panels also affect assembly. Record the dimension reference in the enquiry and approval. The flat dieline shows construction; also check the actual outside dimension on the assembled sample.
