Dust flap
Dust flaps sit at the sides of a folding carton's closure and are folded inwards before the main flap.

They cover open areas and help close the box. They are neither glue flaps nor the actual tuck closure. Length and angle must suit neighbouring panels so that the flaps do not obstruct each other when closing. Geometric validation can flag collisions. Only an assembled prototype with the intended material confirms whether the closure works in practice with your board.
