The outside dimension describes the external size of the assembled packaging.

It matters when the box must fit into a shipping container, shelf or other packaging. The usable interior is smaller because of material thickness and cannot simply be equated with it. Overlapping panels also influence the assembly. Record the dimension reference in the enquiry and approval. The flat dieline shows the structure; also check the actual outside dimension on the assembled sample.
