Reference dieline
A reference dieline is an imported construction, for example from a file supplied by your printer.

It differs from a parametrically generated template: an import is not automatically reconstructed when dimensions change. The reference helps with placement and comparison while retaining the original. Clarify units, dimension reference and line types before use. Detected discrepancies require a technical decision. A reference layer in the project replaces neither discussion with its creator nor evidence of a suitable production file.
