Reference dieline
A reference dieline is an imported construction, for example from a file supplied by your print shop.

It differs from a parametrically generated template: an import is not automatically reconstructed when a dimension changes. The reference helps with placement and comparison while preserving the original. Clarify units, dimension reference, and line types before use. Detected deviations require a technical decision. A reference layer in the project replaces neither coordination with its creator nor evidence of a suitable production file.
