Inside dimension
The inside dimension describes the usable space within the assembled packaging.

It is the appropriate starting point when the product needs to fit inside. It is neither the outside size of the box nor directly the distance between crease lines. Material thickness and allowance link these dimension references. Explicitly state the reference and unit with every dimension. Also consider the clearance needed for inserting and removing the product. Check whether this clearance is sufficient using the product and a sample, rather than the drawing alone.
