Corrugated components and inserts / JETDIELINE

Full overlap slotted container

The outer flaps each cover the entire opening at the top and bottom and lie on top of each other. This custom corrugated construction calculates full coverage rather than just a narrow overlap strip.

How the shape is constructed

Four wall panels and a glue flap form the box body. The inner flaps are folded in first; the rear outer flap then lies beneath the front outer flap. This construction is repeated at the top and bottom. Double coverage is part of the dimension model, not an additional size variant.

How it is assembled

Glue or staple the glue flap to the opposite wall. Erect for filling, fold in the inner bottom flaps, place the rear outer flap over them first, then the front outer flap, and glue across the surface, staple or tape; repeat at the top.

These dimensions describe the preview, not a fixed packaging size. The app recalculates the dieline for your own dimensions.

What to consider for this construction

Glue flap

Width of the glue flap used to glue the blank into a tube. The material requires a minimum width.

Glue flap angle

Angled ends of the glue flap; make folding and erection easier.

Flap gap

Gap between adjacent flaps or walls; at least about the material thickness.

Frequently asked questions

What overlaps fully on this slotted container?

The front and rear outer flaps each cover the entire opening. They lie on top of each other over the previously folded-in inner flaps. This applies at the top and bottom. A narrow overlap strip is a different construction with its own parameter; this template shows full coverage.

Can I reduce the overlap to 50 mm?

For this ID, full coverage is fixed in the construction model. It has no parameter for a narrower strip. Use the slotted container with overlapping outer flaps for adjustable overlap. Do not change the contour by simply scaling or trimming it; this would lose the documented construction status.

Which outer flap is on the outside?

The assembly instructions place the rear outer flap over the bottom or lid first, followed by the front flap. The front flap is therefore the last layer closed. Check reading direction and obscured artwork on a marked sample, especially if both flaps are printed.
