Dust flap
Dust flaps sit at the sides of a folding carton's closure and fold inward before the main flap.

They cover open areas and help close the carton. They are neither glue flaps nor the actual tuck closure. Length and angle must fit neighboring panels so the flaps do not interfere during closing. Geometry validation can indicate collisions. Only an assembled prototype using the intended material confirms whether the closure works in practice with your board.
