Imposition and cost
See how many blanks fit on one sheet
Glossary / JETDIELINE
An up is a single placement of a blank on a production sheet.
Multiple ups distribute the same or different blanks across the available area. Margins, spacing, grain direction, and machine requirements limit the arrangement. A calculation using bounding boxes differs from nesting actual contours. A metric must make clear which method was used. Use utilization as a basis for coordination; without further production data, it is not yet a binding cost calculation from your print shop.
